To activate the WAF module on the UserGate firewall, you need to add an additional module to the license. Without the necessary license, the WAF functionality is hidden from the graphical interface, and the corresponding API methods are also unavailable.
After activating the license, you must exit the web console and log in again. After a new login to the GUI, all WAF pages and windows will become available, you will be able to perform operations of updating rules, deleting, adding, viewing, etc.
If there is no license, the WAF functionality is disabled, all parameters become unavailable, but user rules are saved in the device memory. If you activate the module again, the old rules will appear in the lists.
