A scenario is an additional condition for the Firewall and Traffic shaping rules. They allow the administrator to configure UTM's reaction to certain events. In this video we will demosntrate how a scenario can automaticly limit the user's bandwidth when he reaches a certain limit of daily traffic.
UserGate allows you to create the lists of guest users. This is a useful option for hotels and public Wi-Fi networks when it is necessary to identify temporary users and provide them with the Internet access for a limited time period.
NTLM-based authorization allows you transparently (without requesting credentials) authorize users of Active Directory domains, i.e. organize Single Sign On (SSO). To perform NTLM-based authorization, your UserGate server will communicate with the domain controllers and request them to verify a user and provide or prohibit the Internet access.
Kerberos-based authorization allows you transparently (without requesting credentials) authorize users of Active Directory domains, i.e. organize Single Sign On (SSO). When the Kerberos-based authorization is used, the UserGate server communicates directly with your domain controllers.
A Captive portal allows you to identify users that are unknown for UserGate, e.g. those who have not been identified by authorization agents on terminal servers, authorization agents for Windows, or those who have been registered by direct assignmentof IP addresses.
